Muscle Cars

Although there are those who would say that muscle cars have become obselete, anyone who has ever owned or ridden in one knows that is far from the truth. If what you want is a car with attitude, muscle cars are your best bet. Often powered by V8 engines, muscle cars dominated the drag racing world from the 1960's until the early portion of the 1980's. Due to their extremely powerful torque, these cars produce adrenaline pumping rides guaranteed to satisfy the deepest need for speed. Muscle cars are no doubt fast cars and have very high horse power capability. Visually, their bulky curves and high-performance z-tires are a true testament to the reputation that muscle cars are very much known for.

Though muscle cars and sports cars share speed as a common ground, muscle cars differ greatly from sports cars. Muscle cars are able to generate much greater torque. This is greatly due to the muscle car's engine ,which is often the source of the hissing and guzzling sounds muscle cars are so famous for. The interiors of muscle cars also differ from sports cars. The inside of the car is designed to be practical rather than elegant which has in turn, borne an elegance all its own.

There are companies and groups working tirelessly to recondition CLASSIC CARS (which are often older muscle cars) in order to make them roadworthy again. Some of the most popular reconditioned muscle cars that can still be found nowadays: These featured cars were the kings of the road in the 1960's up to early part of 1980's. Although restored muscle cars are becoming a continually rare species, there are a number of clubs that still relive and appreciate the greatness of muscle cars. These groups stage races and events all with the purpose of having  fun while reminiscing the days when muscle cars ruled the streets. And thanks to the Internet, people around the world who share common interest in muscle cars now have a  means to show-off  the glory of their muscle cars and allow a younger generation to see the real source of muscle in high-performance driving .
